Our Favorite DIY Face Masks

Although it may seem like a drag to make a face mask from scratch, once you try these natural face mask recipes, you won’t go back to store-bought face products. With natural materials, your homemade face masks will be healthier, cheaper, and fresher than store-bought face masks!

1.) Avocado Mask

-1/2 ripe avocado

-1 teaspoon of honey

-1 teaspoon of plain yogurt

Everyone knows that avocados are extremely nutritious, but did you know that avocados do wonders for your skin? This bright avocado mask will leave your skin feeling moisturized and rejuvenated. I recommend using this mask whenever your skin feels dry and dehydrated.

2.) Papaya Mask

– 2 tablespoons of honey

-1/2 cup of mashed papaya

This papaya face mask is perfect for those who have sunspots and uneven skin tones because papaya has a skin brightening property.

3.) Egg White Mask

-1 tablespoon of egg whites

-1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Forget pore strips, this mask is the perfect way to get rid of blackheads! This mask easily peels off your face and only uses two simple ingredients.

4.)  Banana Mask

-1 mashed, ripe banana

-1 tablespoon of coconut oil

This banana mask will help eliminate skin spots. Banana contains many vitamins and potassium while “coconut oil contains lauric acid which has natural antibacterial properties which can help to draw out impurities”  (InStyle).

5.) Powdered Milk Mask

-1/4 cup powdered milk

-Enough warm water to form a paste

This powdered milk face mask will moisturize and cleanse your skin. After waiting for the mask to dry and washing it away, your skin will feel vivid and smooth.
