My hometown is only a twenty minute drive from downtown Boston. That proximity has been one of the most vital features of the final years of my adolescence. As I’ve grown, i’ve graduated from asking for rides, to taking the train, to finally driving myself into the center of the city’s beating heart. I love the core energy I find every time I return there. In this series, I document a friend’s movement through the city in quick snapshots of our day. For me, these photos reflect a double-sided emotion of awe and curiosity towards the city. In this series, there is no true destination, but, as they hopefully show, there doesn’t have to be.
