After John F. Kennedy

Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths and encourage the arts of commerce.
The galaxies above us are far and wide, slinking forward into eternity.
Stars speckle our skies, glittering reminders of the future, beacons of hope.
The deserts sear us like steaks. No water, no food.
Merely just a nodus in a world full of nodi.
Disease is likewise. It kills and slaughters, bringing blacker plagues to places no one else can
reach. If you dock your boat on the island you are dead.
Those people have no desire to have a visitor.
With blood on your skin, your motionless body taps the shallows, into the depths.
It is black like the plague, with slimy awash eyes for only God’s reasons.
You left me behind, dear American.
You can conquer this.

I'm an eighteen year old writer and reader. I'll be attending Albion College in the fall majoring in English and Secondary Education. I love cats and old books more than anything else in the world.
